POMEGRANATES

I have so many things that I could write about today, but instead I think I will focus on this:
The Common Thread.
Please visit Melissa at Stirrup Queens and Sperm Palace Jesters. She is doing a wonderful job at discussing IF issues, and creating a meeting place for IF bloggers. Her posts are always so insightful, honest and full of personal experience. And encouraging. And supportive.
She broached the idea of creating a sign of infertility that could be recognized throughout our communities. Something simple that would draw us all togehter outside the blogworld. And not expensive. Just, you know, community. Melissa explains it so well, just run right on over there to read what she has to say.
I think I'm going to do it. Tie a pomegranate coloured string around my wrist. And order a little pomegranate charm from Resolve to spruce it up. I saw a mezuzah with a pomegranate on it. At first I thought how beautiful it would be on the doorpost of a baby's room. But I thought about purchasing it to celebrate today and hang it on the most welcoming doorpost in my home-the living room.

I just found that site the other day and I thought the pomegranate string was such a great idea.

I love the idea of lessening the isolation of infertility. If it weren't for the internet, I wouldn't 'know' any other infertiles. It's just not something people talk about.

We have the pomegranate mezuzah too. On our bedroom door.

Thanks for the post!

I just read about the pomegranate string idea and think it is great. We need to be given a voice.

I just stumbled onto your blog for the first time today and really can relate. We have a lot in common, I too am annovulatory (although pcos has been ruled out and I have regular periods - yeah I'm a freak!), seems a slight hormone imbalance is the cause, I also have had both tubes unblocked (how long that lasts no one knows) and my hubby has a low count, first SA 8 million, second SA 20 million. So many of the things you wrote, echo my own thoughts. On my 5th round of clomid and looking to move onto a RE referral next month. Good luck, I will continue to tune it to see where your adventures lead you!

I heard about this and I want to learn how to braid those friendship bracelets so it's not just a flimsy string.
