NO, THE BABY HAS NOT EATEN ME ALIVE

My boy, he is getting FAT. He likes to eat. I guess my breastmilk is doing him good.

Speaking of breasts...

I promised that I would not write another post about my boobs. The problem with that is that it lead me to not post for, like, two weeks. I feel like I left you guys hanging!

Long story short: I am no longer sweating a lot during the night. My supply seems to have regulated. I am wearing a bra at night, with just one set of pads. I do not love wearing the bra (and have tried a few different types), but at least I am not leaking everywhere. This means I have been able to eliminate sleeping on the waterproof pad. Thank the LORD. I feel SO MUCH better.

All thanks to you guys. It really is marvelous to have such a community to turn to. There really are no words to express how grateful I am. I only hope that I can pay it forward.

I also still am sorting out my thoughts about how the baby is affecting my relationship with my husband. There just is so much to write about. Some days I can't believe I have such a gem of a man as the father of our baby. Other days I am just so mad. There is so much that he just doesn't get.

Hopefully I can write about it soon...

You'll keep being mad for a while. I know that I still am. :)

Glad to hear that your issues have sorted themselves out!

glad things are sorting out.

Thanks for your comment in my blog re: my birth story. It was quite an adventure, that's for sure. I'm just impressed that people read the novel. :)

As long as we are breastfeeding, there will be posts about boobs. Believe me, we want to hear them!

(ummm, in a friendly "I hear ya!" kind of way, not a creepy peeping-tom kind of way)

About husbands... I think it's completely normal to be mad sometimes. I try to remember to be compassionate, because how can they "get it" the way that we do? They didn't carry the buggers, they're not nursing, they're not riddled with glorious horomones. My husband doesn't even wake up when baby is screaming next to him in bed -- he's even said to friends how well the sleeping is going. Humph!

Keep up the good work, mama, we're all here with you.

I understand about the hubby thing. I didn't think that having a baby would affect our marriage, but oh, was I wrong....

Yeah, I've been in the he's such a big fat idiot stage. It passes... and then it comes again. :-)

The hubby issues continue--we had a "conversation" about that tonight.

Glad to hear that everything else is getting better!

Glad to hear from you. Happy to hear that the nighttime issues have settled down. I hate wearing a bra to bed too but it's better than the alternative, right?

As for the husband post. Whenever you DO post it, I'm sure I'll be able to relate. Because I feel the same way about J these days. :)
