A quickie.

Where did we leave off. Ya.

At our 7wk ultrasound we saw an awesome heartbeat.

Then I got sick. Like horrible cough, I am going to die, I can't even believe that I haven't coughed up my lung yet, sick.

And guess what?

I'm still sick. 2 rounds of antibiotics (which have freaked me the fuck out because I don't even take medication when I'm not carrying a baby on board) later.

Still coughing. Still blowing. Functioning at about 80%. Which is not terrible considering I felt 20% at some times over the past 7 weeks.

So. Pregnancy has not really been on my mind. The only "symptom" I have is sick.

But. BUT. We went for our NT scan last week, and the little guy looks wonderful. All is well.

Really, thank God.

Happy holidays to all. I'm thinking about you always.

Uhhhggg, that's rough. It's awful enough being sick... but sick while pregnant is another league entirely. SO GLAD to hear all is well in womb-land, though, and I hope you're feeling 100% soon!

Being ill right now sounds awful, and I can imagine you're weren't pleased at the thought of taking medication.

Great to hear the scan showed things were going well.

Happy holidays, take good care of yourself.

thinking about you always too!
good friend's last pregnancy involved exact same type of cold, turning to pneumonia, turning to pleurisy...she coughed for the whole pregnancy (and took lots of meds)...her beautiful daughter was born perfectly healthy in August...and my friend's cough cleared up!! Not that I'm wishing you a 9 months cough!?!!?!?!

Hello! I know you don't know me, but we've got something in common. I got your blog address off the Stirrup Queen's blogroll and was wondering if you wouldn't mind helping me help a couple who is trying to add a little one to their family. We're holding a silent auction for them this weekend (Friday and Saturday) on and need help getting the word out! We would love it if you would spread the word via social media or here on your blog. Additionally, we are always looking for more donations to auction off, so if you or someone you know might be interested in making a donation, all the information is under the donate tab. If you have any questions or would be willing to post a pre-written blog post about the auction and the sponsored couple, please contact Kristin at Thanks in advance for taking the time to consider this!
